Lead Designer at Idealist.org
Problem
Idealist.org wanted to help people bridge the gap between good intentions and concrete actions.
Solution
We launched Idealist Days, an event series, a directory of events, on-site profiles, and community tools. I led the creative marketing designing billboards, posters, videos, and digital assets to inspire collective action. On the product end, I developed a new event UI and RSVP platform to simplify event participation, promoted community events, and built a platform for users to connect and showcase their social initiatives.

Campaign Visuals
I filmed, animated, photographed, and designed billboards, posters, and digital assets that promoted collective action by highlighting the tools people use to take action.
Event Platform Design
I led the design of a new event UI and RSVP platform in the Idealist app, making it easy for users to find and join events. This tool was key to the success of Idealist Days and other events, facilitating action and participation.
Community
In collaboration with the Product Manager and Developers, we launched on-site profiles, comments, DIY blog, and portfolio tools to help people connect and share ideas.

Videos for Action Campaigns
I asked members of the Idealist Facebook Group, "Idealists of the World" to teach me something and made a series of videos.
Product Design for Action Campaigns
Idealist is a directory site so I designed new listing types for the site, Events and Social Good Portfolios.
Events
We decided to add admin and user-posted event listings to our site to grow the Idealist Day movement. This included designing an RSVP interface, dashboard for attendee communication and more.

Social Good Porfolio
I am designing a collaborative platform to help individuals showcase their initiatives and connect with like-minded people working toward similar goals. The responsive designs include a search, project pages, and a journal.
